Brainhack Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) is a hackathon occurring on October 18-19, 2014 simultaneously in Ann Arbor, Boston, Montreal, New York City, Porto Alegre and Washington DC. Brainhack is intended for an interdisciplinary community fascinated by the brain: computer scientists, engineers, statisticians as well as psychologists, biologists, artists, journalists, philosophers, etc. The attendees may propose or choose a project, and collaborate during two intensive days. Furthermore, oral sessions will be held periodically to allow participants to present the progress of their project or initiate a discussion on a particular topic. All Brainhack sites will be connected to each other by videoconference to encourage international collaborative projects. Potential projects include: quantitative MRI for exploring tissue microstructure, open-source software, new tools for multimodal visualization, etc. The list of projects is frequently updated on http://brainhack.org/.
